KOTH2: King of the Hill for Unreal Tournament

NEWS

3 FEB 2001 - v.010203 is out. Get it.

WHAT'S NEW (v.010203)
- BOT SUPPORT. They like the hill. They don't like sharing.
- Timer-style spread display.
- Server browser tab.
- New author. The goal at this point is to just polish things and attempt to complete whatever GorGor didn't get around to doing. Bug reports and suggestions are welcome, but don't hold your breath for any new features.

WHAT IT IS

King of the Hill originated as a network gametype for the Marathon series by Bungie. Unlike the Unreal KOTH, the object of the Marathon KOTH is to stand on an actual "hill" -- that is, a designated area -- somewhere on the map. The winner is whomever manages to stay on the hill the longest.

The original KOTH mod for Unreal and KOTH2 for Unreal Tournament were written by Patrick "GorGor" Cyr. Current iteration maintained by Jason Yu. KOTH2 requires KOTH-specific maps which may be obtained from Frogblast: The Ventcore Project.

INSTALLATION

Download KOTH2.zip. Unzip, preserving paths. Put whatever's in the "System" folder into the "System" folder of your UT install. Start UT. Start new Net Game or Practice Game. Select "King of the Hill" in the menu. Adjust settings in the "Rules" tab to your liking. Play.

MORE STUFF
